Abstract

The objective of this paper is to analyze how certain behaviors of iconic celebrities generate debates in public opinion that question the social and political order. These debates are analyzed as competing narratives that judge, in binary terms, the motives, relationships, and institutions of celebrities. As a result, it was observed that social representations operate as interpretative frameworks to judge the behavior of a celebrity as well as of justice. It is necessary to explore how other narratives in competition with other celebrities are constructed to observe the dynamics of the construction of order. Among the contributions and originality of the work the scandal stands out that generated the interview of one of the most wanted drug traffickers in Mexico and the United States, carried out by a Mexican actress. Lastly, we observe how the debate was outlined by the accusation against the actress because of the attributions of the character she played in a television series.
