Abstract

This essay, rather than presenting a theory of avant-garde art in Mexico, aims to bring some of the problems that its to literary studies. The first part shows a synthesis of the theories of the most widespread avant-garde art; in the second, a couple of meanings of “autonomy of art” are contrasted. In the third part the concepts of the previous sections take advantage to weigh its relevance when talking about literature of vanguard in Mexico. Rather than conclusions, what is being sought are the questions allowing you to configure further investigation.
