Abstract
The article aims to present the theoretical framework of the causes that motivate Foreign Companies to invest abroad and the benefits and spillovers in recipient countries. The document emphasizes the impact on local suppliers, resulting from being subcontractad by Transnational Corporations. Finally, it presents some of the public policies according to the theoretical framework of fdi, that could stimulate economic spillovers in local suppliers, and wide mechanisms that could increase the transfer of knowledge, technologies, best practices, and methodologies for increase their productivity.References
