Abstract
The following review aims to emphasize the recent proposal, expressed in the work published by Dr. Jorge Damián Morán Escamilla, which is not only useful in its application to sociology, urban planning, architecture and geography but also, throughout the reading of the text, it becomes an invitation and a potential approach to landscaping which can be used by historians that are immersed in landscape studies; at the same time, it turns into a framework to build their own proposals without falling into anachronisms. On the other hand, it leads to multidisciplinary dialogue with the solid purpose of generating new research work that will allow historians to obtain a more complex, enriched and complete vision of San Luis Potosí, using the landscape as a link and by seeing it from another approach, overcoming its use as a concept, the text, in spite of being small in length, permits the proposal to be used in other contexts.
