Abstract
Las colleras fueron el medio por el cual los vecinos, respaldados por los funcionarios virreinales, enviaron indios en calidad de reos a otros puntos de la Nueva España con el fin de que no volvieran a su tierra de orígen. Cada collera enfrentó diferentes cuidados, medidas de seguridad pues también existía el riesgo que estos indios pudieran escapar durante el traslado. El caso que presenta Antonio García de León es uno de muchos intentos de fuga de los reos pertenecientes a las naciones del norte.
