Resumen
En este trabajo se estudian nociones de ciencia que forman a los autores que publican en revistas indexadas, a través de una investigación documental, que abarcó 27 textos publicados entre 2011 y 2021 en revistas de Science Direct, por medio de dos categorías: las nociones que estos autores aprenden al escribir artículos y al ser evaluados a partir de tales ejercicios, y las que los forman al decidir en cuáles revistas publicar. Los resultados muestran que tales nociones adicionan algunos costos a la ciencia, privilegian el inglés sobre otras lenguas y crean publicaciones un cuanto más elitistas. Las conclusiones muestran que todavía es posible repensar dichas nociones o las métricas para evaluar investigadores, los costos de consultar y publicar en algunas revistas y la necesidad de citar a otros, ya que no es claro que propicien ciencia de frontera. Tanto la originalidad como las limitaciones de este ejercicio radican en que se presenta una mirada posible sobre estas nociones, pero se deja pendiente saber más sobre la manera en que se difunde el conocimiento científico.
