Resumen
En este artículo se pretende analizar, mediante técnicas derivadas de la bibliometría, el corpus de conocimiento relativo al emprendimiento social y al emprendedor social, con el fin de identificar la evolución de las publicaciones, el nivel de colaboración y la estructura social de este campo del conocimiento. Se busca contribuir al campo del emprendimiento social a través de un análisis bibliométrico de publicaciones académicas relacionadas con el emprendedor social en función de tres dimensiones: el desempeño, la colaboración y el mapeo científico (por análisis de cocitación). Para ello, se utilizó la aplicación del software libre Bibliometrix. El análisis confirma que, si bien es un área de conocimiento en auge, el estudio del emprendimiento social y del emprendedor social está en una etapa joven y es necesaria la generación de evidencia empírica que explique el papel y las características del emprendedor social en el entorno del emprendimiento social. La consulta se realizó únicamente con información de la base de datos Scopus, lo que implica que no se recuperó información de otras bases de datos importantes como Web of Science y otros repositorios de relevancia académica. Además, el término de búsqueda utilizado puede limitar la cantidad de publicaciones que analizar.
